Back to typing

Last updated 7 September 2026

Almost all of 7aki runs inside your browser, so for most of what you do here there is simply nothing for us to collect. This page says plainly what stays on your device, what leaves it, and when.

What never leaves your device

Turning Latin letters into Arabic happens entirely in your browser. The dictionary is downloaded once and then read locally, so the words you type are never sent to us or to anyone else.

  • Everything you write in the search box or the editor.
  • Your settings: dialect, search engine, translation languages.
  • The profile of how you spell, which is what makes suggestions improve as you use it.
  • Any images you paste into the editor.

All of it lives in your browser storage. Clearing your browser data erases it, and you can wipe the spelling profile yourself under Settings.

What leaves your device, and only when you ask

Two features reach outside your browser. Each one happens only when you ask for it, by pressing the button or by typing the command.

  • Translate. The text you chose to translate is sent to a public translation service (Lingva, or MyMemory as a fallback) so it can come back translated. This is the same whether you press Translate or type !tr in front of a search.
  • Search. Pressing Enter opens the search engine you picked, in a new tab, with your query. From that point their privacy policy applies, not ours.

If you add 7aki as your browser’s search engine, what you type in the address bar arrives at a page here that does nothing to it and forwards it straight to the search engine you picked. It is converted to Arabic only if you ask, by putting !ar in the query, or by turning that on in Settings. Nothing about the query is stored, and that page is left out of analytics entirely.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your company if you gave one, and your message. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details on.

The form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms you are a person rather than a robot. It is a spam check, not a tracker: it sets no advertising cookie and does not follow you around the web. Delivery is handled by Resend, which processes the message in order to send it.

Ask us to delete an enquiry and we will, along with the reply thread.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits, and it is set up to measure the site rather than you. It runs without cookies: nothing is stored in your browser, you are given no identifier, and you are not recognised as the same person on your next visit or on another site.

It records the address of the page you are on and never the query string. That distinction matters here. When you search from your browser’s address bar, your words arrive at this site inside the web address, so that page is left out of analytics entirely rather than being counted with the words removed.

What you type, what you translate, your settings and your spelling profile are never part of it. Nothing in the first section of this page is measured.

Advertising

Some pages carry an advert from Google AdSense, always labelled as sponsored. They appear on the home page, on Trends and on Commands, and nowhere else: there are none in Settings, none on this page or the terms, none on the contact form, and none on the redirect page that runs your address bar searches.

The adverts are contextual, which means they are chosen from the page they sit on rather than from anything about you. Personalised advertising is switched off, so no advertising cookie is set and no profile of you is built for it.

An advert is still a Google request, so Google receives your IP address and browser details in the ordinary way any embedded content would. If you would rather it did not, a content blocker removes it and the rest of the site works exactly as before.

Cookies

There is no cookie banner because neither of the above sets a cookie. The only things stored in your browser are the ones you created yourself: your settings and your spelling profile, both of which are local storage rather than cookies, and neither of which is ever sent anywhere.

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps the ordinary server logs any web host keeps, such as the address a request came from, in order to serve pages and block attacks.

Children

7aki is a keyboard, suitable for anyone, and it does not ask for a name, an account or an age. We do not knowingly collect personal details from children through the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here is retroactive.
